The Marquess of Anglesey
reviews
Covent Garden
Upstairs over the Marquess of Anglesey is a very agreeable restaurant. It is light, airy and relaxed. I must admit, it's another of my lunchtime gems.

I know that you're assured of a friendly welcome and a pint of my favourite Young's Bitter - and some excellent Fish & chips (it must be the Young's bitter batter).

It's a refreshing trend that more pubs are offering good, freshly prepared food - and the Marquess has been doing so for years without any special fuss.

As you can tell, we thought quite highly of this hospitable watering hole - give it a try!

Just wanted to take the time to congratulate all involved in this drinking establishment. Dealing as I do with disabled people all the time (mainly overseas clients - and most from the USA) I have visited the pub for lunch many times as parking is fairly convenient.

I have always been made welcome with my wheechair clients and often a member of staff will assist in opening the double doors to the well provided ramped access.

The staff are always willing to assist and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The traditional English fayre on the menu alway impresses my clients, and your staff are often happy to give my clients a taster of the various ales before they order. Whilst I was disappointed at the recent remodelling that replaced 'sit down tables' with high stools that wheelchair-users cannot cope with, the staff have always helped me get my customers up the step into the 'snug' ...Keep up the good work, you are a credit to London pubs
